Ingredients

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

Juice of 1 lemon

Zest of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Heat Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Allow it to get hot but not smoking.

Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly to avoid burning. The garlic should be fragrant but not browned.

Add Shrimp: Toss in the peeled and deveined shrimp. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque, stirring occasionally.

Add Lemon: Squeeze in the lemon juice and add the lemon zest, stirring to coat the shrimp well in the flavorful oil. Cook for another minute.

Finish & Garnish: Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, and remove the skillet from heat. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve: Plate the garlic shrimp and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy your quick and zesty dish!
