Ingredients
  

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup tahini

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Salt to taste

Water (as needed for desired consistency)

Optional: paprika or sumac for garnish

Optional: fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, ground cumin, and a pinch of salt.

    Blend the mixture until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.

      Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, to reach your desired consistency.

        Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more salt or lemon juice if needed.

          Transfer your hummus to a serving bowl, and drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika or sumac, and chopped parsley if desired.

            Serve with pita bread, veggie sticks, or use it as a spread in wraps.
