1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust for spice preference)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)

Marinate the Chicken: In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, smoked paprika, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for more flavor.

    Prepare the Skewers: If you're using wooden skewers, ensure they have been soaked in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

      Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

        Cook the Skewers: Place the chicken skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not crowded to allow for proper air circulation. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).

          Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the skewers from the air fryer. Allow them to rest for a couple of minutes. Serve hot, drizzled with additional honey or a sprinkle of fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley for garnish.
