Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drums

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons melted butter

Optional: 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

Preparation of Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry using paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy texture.

Seasoning Mix: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and, if desired, red pepper flakes. Mix well to create a marinade.

Coat the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the marinade. Toss the wings until they are thoroughly coated with the seasoning mixture.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Frying: Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. You may need to cook them in batches. Cook the wings at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.

Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While the wings are cooking, combine the melted butter, grated Parmesan cheese, and lemon zest in a small bowl. Mix until well combined.

Coating the Wings: Once the wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the crispy wings and toss until well coated.

Serving: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch or blue cheese.
