1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

For the Bread:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup milk

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Apple Crisp Topping:

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

Prepare the Apple Layer: In a medium bowl, combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until apples are well coated, and set aside.

Make the Cheesecake Layer: In a mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the egg and mix until just combined. Set aside.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Prepare the Bread Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, mix together melted butter, sour cream, milk, and eggs. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Layer the Ingredients in the Pan: Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing it out. Next, spread the cheesecake layer over the bread batter. Carefully layer the apple mixture on top of the cheesecake, followed by the remaining bread batter.

Make the Apple Crisp Topping: In a separate bowl, combine rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, and flour. Mix until crumbly, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the bread.

Bake: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover it with aluminum foil during the last 15 minutes of baking.

Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
