Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

12 slider buns

Coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Pickles (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken breasts with apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Ensure the chicken is well-coated with the marinade, then cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best flavor).

Cook the Chicken: Preheat your slow cooker on low. Add the marinated chicken breasts to the slow cooker and pour the BBQ sauce over them. Cover and cook for 6-8 hours on low, or 4-5 hours on high, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Use two forks to shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it to combine with the BBQ sauce.

Prepare the Sliders: While the chicken is cooking, you can prep your slider buns. If desired, lightly toast the buns in the oven or on a skillet until golden brown. This adds a nice texture and prevents them from getting soggy.

Assemble the Sliders: For each slider, scoop a generous portion of the BBQ pulled chicken onto the bottom half of the slider bun. Top with coleslaw and pickles if desired. Place the top half of the bun on and press down gently.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve warm. These sliders are perfect for game day, parties, or a summer barbecue!
