Beef and Broccoli Ramen Stir Fry

For the Beef Marinade:

1 lb (450 g) flank steak, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Stir Fry:

3 packages of instant ramen noodles (discard the seasoning packets)

2 cups broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

3 tablespoons oyster sauce

2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1/2 cup beef broth (or water)

2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil. Stir to coat the beef evenly and let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.

    Cook the Ramen Noodles: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package directions (usually about 3-4 minutes). Drain and set aside.

      Stir Fry the Broccoli: In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and stir fry for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

        Sauté Beef: In the same skillet, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring, allowing it to sear. Then stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

          Combine Everything: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the red bell pepper and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.

            Add Sauce: Stir in oyster sauce, low-sodium soy sauce, sesame oil, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly for 1-2 minutes.

              Add Noodles and Broccoli: Add the cooked ramen noodles and broccoli back into the skillet. Toss everything together, ensuring the noodles and vegetables are well coated in the sauce.

                Serve: Once heated through, remove from the heat and plate your Beef and Broccoli Ramen Stir Fry. Garnish with sliced green onions and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
