2 cups of cooked white or brown rice

2 cups of fresh broccoli florets (or frozen)

1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup of cream of mushroom soup (you can use homemade or store-bought)

1/2 cup of milk

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon of onion powder

1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

1/4 teaspoon of salt (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup of breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

2 tablespoons of butter, melted (optional, for breadcrumbs)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Prepare Broccoli: If using fresh broccoli, steam or blanch the florets for about 3-4 minutes until just tender. If using frozen, simply thaw and drain any excess water.

      Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, steamed broccoli, shredded cheese, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until all ingredients are evenly mixed.

        Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with a little oil or butter. Pour the rice and broccoli mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly.

          Optional Topping: If you like a crunchy topping, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle it evenly over the casserole.

            Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the cheese is melted.
