1 cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup mini marshmallows

½ cup chopped nuts (optional)

1 cup additional chocolate chips for topping

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lining your baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Cream the Butters and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.

      Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

          Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to keep the cookies soft and chewy.

            Fold in Add-Ins: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts (if using) until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.

              Scoop the Dough: Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

                Add Topping Chips: Press a few additional chocolate chips into the tops of each cookie dough mound for extra chocolaty goodness.
