Ingredients

1 pound fresh strawberries (medium to large)

8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

4 oz white chocolate chips (optional for drizzling)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)

Parchment paper (for cooling)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries: Rinse the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry completely with a paper towel; moisture can prevent the chocolate from adhering properly.

Melt the Chocolate: Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. If using, add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to the bowl for a smoother finish. Microwave on medium power for 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by its green stem, and dip it into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess chocolate to drip off. You can use a fork for better control if needed.

Set on Parchment: Lay each chocolate-covered strawberry on a sheet of parchment paper. Repeat the dipping process for all strawberries.

Optional White Chocolate Drizzle: If you’d like to add a decorative touch, melt the white chocolate chips using the same method as the semi-sweet chocolate. Using a fork or piping bag, drizzle the melted white chocolate over the coated strawberries.

Add Sea Salt: While the chocolate is still melted, lightly sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over each strawberry for a delightful contrast of flavors.

Cool and Set: Place the strawberries in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate has completely set and hardened.

Serve and Enjoy: Once set, arrange the chocolate-covered strawberry bites on a serving platter, and enjoy them fresh! They make for a perfect dessert or snack.
