Ingredients

12 ounces refrigerated cheese tortellini

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup baby spinach (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same pot, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Add the Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low.

Incorporate the Cheese: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts smoothly into the sauce. This may take a few minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add a little bit of pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

Season the Sauce: Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Combine Tortellini and Greens: Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and gently toss to coat each piece. If using, stir in the baby spinach until it wilts slightly.

Serve: Plate the creamy garlic Parmesan tortellini and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately for a delightful meal!
