Ingredients

8 corn tortillas

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: 1 tablespoon lime juice

Optional: Cooking spray

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to preheat for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Tortillas: In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and lime juice (if using). Whisk until well combined.

Coat the Tortillas: Submerge each corn tortilla in the spice mixture, ensuring both sides are evenly coated. If you prefer using less oil, lightly spray the tortillas with cooking spray instead.

Shape the Shells: Carefully fold each tortilla in half and place in the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave space between each taco shape to allow for proper air circulation.

Air Fry the Tortillas: Cook the tortillas for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. Check around the 4-minute mark to avoid any burning.

Cool and Serve: Once crispy, carefully remove the taco shells from the air fryer and let them cool slightly on a wire rack. This will help maintain their crunchiness.

Fill and Enjoy: Stuff your crispy taco shells with your favorite fillings such as seasoned meat, beans, cheese, lettuce, salsa, and avocado.
