Ingredients

1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets

1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 large egg

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crispiness)

Olive oil spray (or oil for drizzling)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare Breading Station: In three separate bowls, prepare your breading station.

      - In the first bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

        - In the second bowl, beat the egg until well blended.

          - In the third bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.

Coat Cauliflower: Dip each cauliflower floret into the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Then, dip it into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the floret in the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it adheres well. Place the coated florets onto the prepared baking sheet.

Spray with Oil: Lightly spray the cauliflower bites with olive oil or drizzle with a little oil to help them crisp up in the oven.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the florets are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through the baking time for even crispness.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch dressing.
