Ingredients

1 lb chicken tenders (fresh or thawed)

1 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine the buttermilk and ranch seasoning mix. Add the chicken tenders, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover the bowl and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (up to overnight for enhanced flavor).

Prepare the Breading Station: Set up a three-bowl station:

      - In the first bowl, place the flour mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

        - In the second bowl, beat a couple of eggs (optional for extra binding).

          - In the third bowl, place the seasoned breadcrumbs.

Coat the Chicken: Remove the chicken tenders from the buttermilk marinade, allowing the excess to drip off.

              - First, dredge each tender in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.

                - Then, dip it into the beaten eggs (if using) and finally, coat it thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken for better adherence.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, pour enough oil to cover the bottom (about ½ inch deep) and heat over medium-high heat until it shimmers (approx. 350°F or 175°C).

Fry the Chicken: Carefully place a few tenders in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Transfer the cooked tenders to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serve: Serve the crispy ranch chicken tenders hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
