Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup dulce de leche

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Combine Sugar and Eggs: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Whisk in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Layer the Brownies: Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Drizzle half of the dulce de leche over the brownie batter. Use a knife to swirl the dulche de leche gently into the batter.

Add Remaining Batter and Dulce de Leche: Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and smooth it out. Drizzle the remaining dulce de leche over the top of the brownies. Swirl again gently with a knife for a marbled effect.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before lifting them out (if using parchment paper) or slicing directly in the pan. Serve warm or at room temperature, drizzled with extra dulce de leche if desired.
