Ingredients

1 package (16 oz) of store-bought gnocchi

2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cook the Gnocchi: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, usually around 2-3 minutes or until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Marinara Sauce: In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the marinara sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Combine the Gnocchi and Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, gently toss the cooked gnocchi with the marinara sauce until fully coated.

Layer the Dish: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread half of the gnocchi mixture evenly. Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese over the top, then sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese.

Add Remaining Gnocchi: Add the remaining gnocchi mixture on top, then finish with the rest of the mozzarella and all of the grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Enjoy your Easy Cheesy Baked Gnocchi, a comforting dish that combines the deliciousness of cheese with tender gnocchi!
