Ingredients

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (plus more for brushing)

1 teaspoon salt

3 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)

½ teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Instructions

Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy on top.

Mix Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of flour and salt. Make a well in the center, then add the melted butter, activated yeast mixture, garlic, parsley, rosemary, and Italian herbs if using. Stir until combined.

Knead: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle a little more flour as needed.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Shape Rolls: Once risen, punch down the dough to release air. Divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Second Rise: Cover the rolls with a towel again and let them rise for another 30 minutes until they’re puffed up.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top.

Brush with Butter: As soon as you take the rolls out of the oven, brush the tops with melted butter for extra flavor and shine.

Serve: Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy these delightful garlic herb dinner rolls warm!
