Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1/4 cup olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

Preparation: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.

Seasoning the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. This will help enhance the flavor of the meat.

Creating the Crust Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Breading Station: Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with all-purpose flour, one with the beaten eggs, and one with the breadcrumb mixture.

Bread the Pork Chops: Dredge each pork chop in the flour, ensuring it’s fully coated. Shake off any excess flour. Next, dip the chop into the beaten eggs, letting the excess drip off, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it adheres well.

Cooking: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Once hot, add the breaded pork chops (you may need to do this in batches to avoid overcrowding). Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Baking: Transfer the browned pork chops to the prepared baking sheet and place them in the oven. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Rest and Serve: Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve hot. Enjoy your crispy, flavorful Garlic Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops!
