Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glazing)

2 tbsp milk (for glazing)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glazing)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

      Mix the Dry Ingredients:

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

          Prepare the Wet Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter and buttermilk. Stir until thoroughly mixed.

              Combine Ingredients:

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; it's okay if there are a few lumps. Do not overmix as this can make the biscuits tough.

                  Fold in the Blueberries:

Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, taking care not to break them.

                      Create the Biscuit Batter:

Pour the biscuit batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

                          Swim in Butter:

Pour additional melted butter (about 1/2 cup) over the batter. This will help create that delightful butter swim effect.

                              Bake:

Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

                                  Prepare the Glaze:

While the biscuits are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.

                                      Glaze the Biscuits:

Once the biscuits are baked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for about 5 minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits.

                                          Serve:

Cut the biscuits into squares and serve warm for the best experience. Enjoy your blueberry bliss!
