Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup almond flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup honey

1 large egg

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1/4 cup sliced almonds (for topping)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This will take about 3-4 minutes.

Add Wet Ingredients: Add the honey, egg, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat well until everything is fully combined.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to over-mix, as this can make the buns dense.

Shape the Buns: Scoop small portions of dough (about 2 tablespoons) and shape them into round buns. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each bun.

Add Toppings: Gently press a few sliced almonds onto the top of each bun for added texture and flavor.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the buns are lightly golden on top and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and Dust: Once baked, allow the buns to cool on a wire rack. If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Enjoy: Serve warm with a cup of tea or coffee, and savor the sweet, nutty delight of Honey Almond Tea Buns!
