Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons honey

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.

Marinate Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a Ziploc bag. Pour the balsamic marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes for enhanced flavor.

Preheat Skillet: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Allow the oil to become hot but not smoking.

Cook Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade). Place the fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip them and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the salmon is cooked to your desired doneness.

Glaze: In the last minute of cooking, pour the reserved marinade into the skillet, allowing it to bubble up and glaze the salmon. Spoon the sauce over the fillets while cooking for an extra burst of flavor.

Plate and Serve: Once done, transfer the salmon to serving plates. Drizzle any remaining glaze from the pan over the top and garnish with fresh thyme or parsley.
