Ingredients

2 oz tequila (preferably 100% agave)

1 oz pineapple juice (freshly squeezed for best flavor)

0.5 oz fresh lime juice

0.5 oz agave syrup (adjust to taste)

1 Serrano pepper (sliced, adjust based on your heat preference)

1 oz triple sec or Cointreau

Ice cubes

Pineapple wedges (for garnish)

Lime wheels (for garnish)

Coarse sea salt or Tajín (optional, for rimming the glass)

Instructions

Prepare the Glass: If you’d like a salted or Tajín rim, run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into coarse salt or Tajín to coat. Set aside.

Muddle the Pepper: In a cocktail shaker, add the sliced Serrano pepper. Muddle gently to release the oils and heat, but be careful not to overdo it unless you want a very spicy margarita!

Add the Liquids: Pour in the tequila, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and triple sec.

Shake it Up: Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice or serve it straight up, depending on your preference.

Garnish: For a beautiful presentation, add a pineapple wedge and a lime wheel on the rim of the glass.

Enjoy: Sip and indulge in the refreshing, spicy, and tropical flavors of your homemade Spicy Serrano Pineapple Margarita!
