Ingredients

3 lbs baby back ribs

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Start by removing the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better tenderness. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and season liberally with salt and black pepper.

Create the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until well mixed and smooth.

Marinate the Ribs: Place the ribs in a large baking dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Reserve the other half for later. Marinate the ribs in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, though overnight is ideal for maximum flavor.

Bake the Ribs: Once marinated, remove the ribs from the fridge and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil (for easier cleanup). Cover the ribs with another sheet of aluminum foil to retain moisture. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is fork-tender.

Prepare for Grilling: While the ribs are baking, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once the ribs are tender, carefully remove them from the oven. Discard the top layer of foil and brush the reserved marinade generously over the ribs.

Grill to Perfection: Place the ribs on the preheated grill. Grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with marinade, until the ribs develop a nice caramelized crust. Watch for flare-ups from the sugar in the marinade.

Serve: Once grilled to perfection, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut into individual pieces, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with your favorite sides, such as coleslaw or cornbread.
